Today I'm going to talk about what problems I may find in my ideal job. This is hard, because when you think about your ideal job, you just want to everything goes well... but anyway, here we go. I think that what I want as an ideal job, as a juridic pshychologist, its that I may need too much experience, and it's not a spread area in universities. Perhaps studying in another country may be helpfull...but that may be a problem (money!! :c).
I wouldn't like to make my life here in Chile, but as we have so low expierence in juridic area, I'm afraid that it could be a problem in other countries. I used to dream to live in Australia, but then I figured out that the pension system is very bad. Many people in Australia gets poor when they are elder people... so that a big problem for me, because I have family living in Australia who could give me support, but not the economic one...so that's a big problem for me if I wanna make my life there. Here in Santiago I could take my chances in this area, but the social system is not good.
About the skills that I may need, I'll have to be a very strong and pshychological balanced person so I can work with criminals or even victims, and I think that is not so easy for me to be that strong sometimes. Always you can be afraid about passing job interviews, because you are in competition with so many professionals and it's easy to be pessimistic if you don't count with a large experience in the field. And if you pass this instance, pshychological test are always hard. Many people fail in this step in the process to get a job. It's not that easy... don't you think?
I guess that all my fears are summarized here, but even having this fears, their will be not a major problem to achieve my dream job!

The judicial area is very interesting and complicated area, I hope you can work in that area like a psychologist because I think the labor of social scientist are very important in legal areas!

ReplyDeleteI admire people who work with so difficult themes like criminals or victims, exactly for that! How Rolandos wrote, be a strong people is difficult!!! But I'm sure if you want to do this, you can do it!
